Jasmine Crockett, the high-profile congresswoman known for her viral moments and "partisan warfare" style, is reportedly looking for a way out of D.C. and back into the courtroom.

Weeks after losing the Democratic Senate primary by a roughly 7 to 8 point margin, Crockett is apparently calling up law firms to explore job openings.

The loss came at the hands of State Rep. James Talarico, who pulled off a blockbuster victory with a radically different strategy.

While Crockett leaned into identity politics and sharp rebukes of the GOP, Talarico surged ahead with a populist, faith-based "politics of love" message.

He managed to flip the script by campaigning in deep-red rural areas, ultimately winning 52.4% of the vote compared to Crockett's 46.2%.

It was a bitter, expensive, and personal fight.

Talarico outspent Crockett nearly five to one, pouring over $15 million into a campaign that focused on "top-versus-bottom" economics.

The race was further complicated by voter suppression drama in Dallas County, where rule changes led to chaos at the polls and a last-minute Texas Supreme Court intervention regarding late-night ballots.

For Crockett, the defeat is a major career pivot.

Having given up her U.S. House seat to run for Senate, she will be out of office by January 2027.

Her campaign was shadowed by controversial past remarks regarding Latino voters and a heated online proxy war that highlighted deep racial divisions within the party.

As James Talarico prepares to face either John Cornyn or Ken Paxton in November, the "firebrand" of the Democratic party is dusting off her legal degree.

Whether she is returning to civil rights law or joining a corporate firm, the Texas political scene will be a lot quieter without her.
