Newly surfaced images are giving the public a closer look at the chaos surrounding the alleged gunman in the White House Correspondents’ Dinner attack case.

According to reports, photos obtained by CNN show what investigators say was one of the weapons carried by suspect Cole Allen during the April 26, 2026 incident outside the Washington Hilton.

One image reportedly shows a black tactical-style long gun laid out on a carpeted floor.

Authorities claim Allen was also armed with a .38-caliber semiautomatic pistol and a 12-gauge shotgun, raising serious questions about how heavily armed he was before the confrontation unfolded.

A second photo allegedly shows Allen shirtless and wrapped in a Mylar emergency blanket after being taken into custody.

Officials say clothing was removed during the arrest process so officers could search for additional weapons and check for injuries.

The incident occurred while a major gathering was underway inside the hotel, attended by President Trump, senior administration officials, and hundreds of members of the press.

Prosecutors say Allen attempted to breach security before firing several shots.

One Secret Service agent was struck, but survived because of body armor.

Allen was then subdued and arrested at the scene.

Authorities also say they are reviewing disturbing messages allegedly sent by Allen to family members before the shooting. In those communications, he reportedly apologized for abusing their trust and suggested he did not expect forgiveness.

Investigators further claim he referred to himself as the “Friendly Federal Assassin,” expressed anti-Trump views, and intended to target administration officials.

Federal prosecutors have charged Allen with firearm offenses and assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon.

Officials say he has not been cooperating with investigators.

The newly released photos now intensify public focus on one of the most serious security scares involving a high-profile Washington event in recent years.
