A Fillmore woman is facing charges after a doorbell camera caught her allegedly stealing a package in Moorpark.
The incident occurred during the month of March 2026 along the 11000 block of Crenshaw Street.
Deputies assigned to the Moorpark Police Department patrol services responded to the scene and collected video evidence of the suspect in the act.
Additional surveillance footage from community security cameras allowed detectives to identify the suspect's vehicle license plate as it entered the neighborhood.
By utilizing law enforcement databases and the footage provided by the victim, investigators identified the woman as 42 year old Rebecca Fendrick of Fillmore.
On April 3 2026 Moorpark deputies and detectives tracked Fendrick down in the City of Fillmore and took her into custody without incident.

The Moorpark Police Department is using this arrest to remind residents that video surveillance is a critical tool in identifying and catching porch pirates.
Authorities are also encouraging citizens to bring their packages inside as quickly as possible to prevent these crimes of opportunity.
The case remains under the jurisdiction of the Ventura County judicial system to hold those responsible for local thefts accountable.
