Queens Man Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing Neighbors and Father Over Dog Dispute

A 34-year-old man in Queens was taken into custody on Thursday morning following a violent altercation that left three people injured.

The incident occurred in the Laurelton neighborhood around 11 a.m. on April 23, 2026, near the intersection of 229th Street and 141st Avenue.

Authorities identified the suspect as Hakeem Alexander, who allegedly confronted his neighbors while they were walking their French bulldog.

The dispute reportedly began when the dog stopped to urinate on the grass near Alexander’s residence.

According to surveillance footage and witness reports, the situation escalated rapidly after Alexander engaged in a retaliatory act on the neighbors' property.

A physical confrontation ensued between Alexander and a 39-year-old woman and her 39-year-old partner.

During the struggle, Alexander allegedly produced a knife and began attacking the couple.

The woman sustained a slash wound to her left hand, while the man was stabbed in the back.

As the violence unfolded, Alexander’s 62-year-old father attempted to intervene and de-escalate the situation.

However, the suspect allegedly turned the weapon on his father, resulting in a slash wound to the older man's hand.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the attack and provided immediate medical assistance to the victims.

All three individuals were transported to Jamaica University Hospital Medical Center for treatment.

Hospital officials have confirmed that the victims are currently in stable condition and are expected to recover from their injuries.
