Singapore Man Arrested Over Leak of Upcoming "Avatar: The Last Airbender" Movie

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Singapore for allegedly accessing a media server and leaking footage from the highly anticipated animated film Aang: The Last Airbender. The arrest, confirmed by Singapore police on April 24, 2026, follows a massive online leak that occurred earlier this month, where significant portions of the movie appeared on social media platforms and message boards like 4chan.

Authorities allege that the suspect gained unauthorized remote access to a content server to download the unreleased film before distributing it online. During the investigation, police recovered electronic devices from the suspect that contained a digital copy of the movie.

While initial social media posts by the leaker claimed that Nickelodeon had "accidentally emailed" the entire film to them, Paramount’s investigation determined that the breach did not originate from within the studio's internal systems, suggesting a targeted external hack.
