An 89-year-old woman is being called a real-life superhero after climbing down the outside of a high-rise building to escape being locked inside her own apartment.

The elderly resident reportedly got trapped in her bedroom on the 27th floor of a residential tower.

With no way out, she made a shocking decision. Instead of waiting for help, she climbed out and began scaling down the building’s exterior.

Witnesses say she managed to descend all the way to the 21st floor, clinging to ledges and navigating the vertical drop with unbelievable composure.

Residents and a security guard quickly spotted her and raised the alarm, triggering an emergency response.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and used ropes to safely bring her back inside. Despite the extreme risk, the woman reportedly remained calm throughout the ordeal.

When rescuers asked what she was doing, she casually told them she had planned to climb all the way down the building.

The incident was captured on video and quickly went viral across Chinese social media, racking up more than 4 million views in a short time. Online, users gave her a fitting nickname: “Super Grandma.”

Many viewers expressed shock at her physical strength and fearlessness, especially given her age. Others pointed out how dangerous the situation was, noting that one slip could have ended in tragedy.

Emergency responders emphasized that while the outcome was positive, the situation could have easily turned fatal.

They urged residents to call for help immediately in similar situations rather than attempting extreme escapes.

Still, the story has captured global attention as a mix of astonishment and concern, with many asking how someone nearly 90 years old managed such a physically demanding and risky feat.
