Four Texas Teens Charged After Alleged Kidnapping And Assault Linked To Personal Dispute

Four Texas teenagers are facing felony charges after authorities say they allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a former classmate following a dispute involving a personal relationship.
According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the four 17-year-olds were charged with aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon after an incident reported in February near Del Valle High School, located outside Austin.
Investigators allege the victim was picked up by three suspects and later taken to a rural property where a fourth individual was waiting.
Authorities say the victim was allegedly restrained, threatened with a firearm, and physically assaulted with various objects.
Police reports indicate the victim later contacted law enforcement and that documented injuries were consistent with the reported assault.
Authorities also allege at least one suspect admitted the group had discussed the incident beforehand.
Investigators say the alleged motive stemmed from a dispute involving communication with one suspect’s girlfriend.
Officials also reported that one suspect faces an additional charge related to alleged organized criminal activity.
If convicted, the suspects could face significant prison sentences under Texas law.
Because they are minors, further court proceedings may involve juvenile or adult court determinations.
The Del Valle Independent School District confirmed the suspects are no longer enrolled in the district and said the incident did not occur on school property.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
