A Green Bay-area radio DJ has been arrested on serious criminal charges, including possession of child pornography and multiple drug-related offenses, according to law enforcement reports.
The suspect, identified as Daniel Lieburn, worked at 95.9 KISS FM and also performed in drag under the stage name “Diamond Day.” Authorities say the arrest followed a cyber tip sent to Brown County officials regarding a Snapchat account allegedly linked to Lieburn that was flagged for uploading child sexual abuse material.
Following the investigation and arrest, his employer reportedly terminated his position at the radio station.
Law enforcement has not publicly detailed all evidence in the case, but officials confirmed the charges stem from digital materials allegedly connected to the suspect’s online accounts. The investigation remains ongoing.
The case quickly spread across social media after being shared by accounts that highlighted Lieburn’s drag performance persona alongside the allegations, framing the arrest within broader cultural debates online.
Some posts sarcastically referenced the situation as part of what they call the “thing that never happens,” a phrase used in online discourse to point to recurring allegations involving individuals in public-facing entertainment or performance spaces. Commentators such as journalist Andy Ngo have also amplified similar narratives in past reporting contexts.
Reactions online have been sharply divided, with some users focusing strictly on the criminal allegations and ongoing investigation, while others used the case to fuel broader political and cultural arguments.
Authorities have not indicated any connection between Lieburn’s performance persona and the alleged offenses, and no further details have been released regarding court proceedings or potential sentencing exposure at this stage.
For now, the case remains under active investigation in Brown County, with additional charges possible depending on forensic review of seized digital devices.
