Harris County is witnessing a judicial collapse in real-time.
Judge Nathan Milliron, the man currently trending for a viral courtroom tirade against an IT worker, is facing a fresh wave of scrutiny after leaked documents revealed a messy financial history and a string of ethics violations.
Court records obtained from the U.S. Southern District Court of Texas show that Milliron filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy last May, listing nearly $70,000 in debt.
The "duly elected" judge reportedly owed more than $30,000 to American Express, alongside hefty balances with Chase, Discover, and Bank of America.
However, the case was unceremoniously dismissed in June 2025 after Milliron failed to comply with court-ordered filings, leaving him legally on the hook for every penny.
The financial chaos mirrors the "appalling" conduct caught on camera this week.
In the viral clip, Milliron is seen snapping at a county IT employee over a minor technical issue, eventually shouting at the worker to "get out of my courtroom."
When veteran defense attorney James Stafford emailed Milliron suggesting an apology, the judge fired back by ordering Stafford to appear in his court on April 9, a move legal experts call a blatant abuse of power.
Adding fuel to the fire, Milliron is currently facing $1,500 in civil penalties for failing to submit mandatory financial disclosures.
Leaked emails also reveal his aggressive temperament behind the scenes; in one exchange with District Clerk Marilyn Burgess, he raged against the office's "ineptitude," demanding a subordinate who would show him "respect."
While the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct keeps complaints confidential, the public's verdict is already trending.
With a failed bankruptcy, ethics fines, and a viral "Judge Karen" reputation, Milliron’s seat on the bench is looking increasingly hot.
