A jaw-dropping CCTV clip is going viral after showing a man making a split-second decision that could have turned deadly at a gas station.

The footage captures a man in dark clothing suddenly rushing toward a massive white Volvo Globetrotter truck as it begins turning near fuel pumps. But instead of backing away or signaling the driver, he does something almost unthinkable.

He throws his own body against the moving truck.

Over the course of just 21 seconds, the man wedges himself between the truck and his gray sedan, using sheer force to try and prevent a collision. As the truck continues to move, he’s briefly dragged along the side, still pushing with everything he has.

Somehow, it works.

The maneuver creates just enough space to protect his car from being crushed, and the man eventually regains his footing and walks back to his vehicle as if nothing happened.

But the internet is not letting it slide.

Viewers are split. Some are calling it heroic and quick-thinking, while others say it was reckless and dangerously unnecessary. Critics point out that using your body against a moving truck, especially one as heavy as a Volvo Globetrotter, could have ended in severe injury or worse.

Safety experts often stress that in situations like this, distance and visibility matter more than force. A simple signal, horn, or shout might have alerted the driver without risking life and limb.

Still, the clip highlights something deeper. In high-pressure moments, people don’t always think logically. They react.

And in this case, one man chose to put himself directly in harm’s way to save his car.

No injuries were reported, but the video leaves behind one big question.

Was it bravery… or a gamble that almost went very wrong?
