Mia Khalifa Breaks Down In Tears Condemning Israel Airstrikes On Lebanon During Ceasefire

Lebanese-born influencer Mia Khalifa has issued a scathing condemnation of recent military actions in Lebanon, as the region grapples with a surge in violence despite a fragile ceasefire agreement. In a series of distressed posts on Thursday, April 9, 2026, Khalifa highlighted reports of 160 Israeli airstrikes occurring within a ten-minute span across Lebanese territory.
The influencer pointed to the destruction of schools, hospitals, and residential neighborhoods, describing the escalation as dystopian and questioning the continued use of American tax dollars in the conflict. The strikes occurred just 24 hours after President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire deal between the United States and Iran, mediated by Pakistan.
While the ceasefire was hailed as a diplomatic breakthrough to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, its application to the conflict in Lebanon remains a point of intense international dispute. President Trump clarified to reporters on Wednesday that Lebanon is not included in the ceasefire agreement because of ongoing operations against Hezbollah, describing the situation as a separate skirmish.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu echoed this sentiment, asserting that the Israel Defense Forces would continue to strike targets with force, precision, and determination. The IDF dubbed the latest wave of attacks Operation Eternal Darkness, stating the missions exclusively targeted Hezbollah personnel and infrastructure throughout central Beirut and the Beqaa Valley.
However, local health officials in Lebanon reported at least 254 fatalities and over 1,000 injuries following the intensive ten-minute bombardment. The strikes have caused significant civil disruption in Beirut, where traffic came to a standstill as civilians attempted to flee residential areas following military warnings.
Khalifa’s emotional response reflects a growing public outcry over the role of U.S. military aid under the Trump administration’s current foreign policy framework. International observers, including the United Kingdom, have urged for the ceasefire to be extended to Lebanon to prevent further humanitarian catastrophe.
The regional situation remains volatile as negotiators from the U.S. and Iran prepare for high-level peace talks scheduled to begin this Saturday in Islamabad.
