New York Doctor Arrested After Newborn Dies From Circumcision Pain

A New York physician is facing second-degree manslaughter charges this week following the horrific death of a two-day-old infant.

The tragedy occurred during a routine circumcision that was allegedly performed without any form of anesthetic.

According to the medical examiner, the healthy newborn boy died from neurogenic shock a catastrophic collapse of the nervous system triggered by extreme physical pain.

The investigation into the private surgical facility revealed a disturbing departure from medical standards. Detectives allege the physician knowingly skipped mandatory pain-management protocols, leading to the infant's rapid deterioration during the procedure. Staff members reportedly watched in horror as the child went into cardiac arrest while on the operating table.

"They never told us our son would be put through that without help for the pain," the parents said in a statement released through their attorney.

The couple is now calling for a total overhaul of oversight for private clinics to ensure no other family suffers a similar loss.

The doctor’s medical license has been suspended effective immediately.

He is currently held on a $500,000 bond as state and federal investigators look into whether this was an isolated incident or a pattern of negligence at the facility.
