Ohio Man Arrested After Threatening Family With Knife “In The Name of Allah”

A terrifying early morning encounter in Franklin Township ended with a 23-year-old man in handcuffs after he threatened a family with a knife.

Anthony Tyrone Jessie Long, a Cincinnati resident, was charged with aggravated menacing and aggravated trespassing following the incident just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Long was seen walking around the front of a home, banging on doors while holding a knife, and shouting threats to kill a man “in the name of Allah.”

He then chased the family’s daughter, who had just arrived in the driveway. Thankfully, she escaped unharmed.

The family provided deputies with surveillance footage showing Long brandishing the knife, which helped law enforcement quickly confirm his identity.

About 15 minutes later, a separate call to Clearcreek police reported a suspicious vehicle attempting to ram another car.

The driver led officers to the station, where Long was detained and matched the description from the Franklin Township threats.

Long was booked at Warren County Jail on multiple bonds: $75,000 for the Franklin Township incident and $1,500 cash only for the Clearcreek incident.

Sheriff’s deputies confirmed that no one was physically injured during the standoff. The incident highlights how a split-second escalation with weapons can terrorize families and trigger rapid law enforcement response. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about Long’s activity to contact the sheriff’s office.

Residents are shaken but relieved that quick police coordination and the family’s vigilance prevented a potential tragedy.
