Teacher allegedly dated student’s mom just to target the 13-year-old daughter in ‘Lolita’-style

A former Florida middle school teacher has been arrested following allegations that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 13 year old student, according to law enforcement reports.
Authorities say Daniel Le Lievre, 41, was taken into custody on March 31, 2026, and is facing charges including custodial sexual battery and unlawful conduct involving a minor. Officials state the case remains under investigation as it moves through the legal process.
According to police documents, Le Lievre began a relationship with the student’s mother in October 2023. Investigators are examining whether that relationship gave him increased access to the family and the student.
The alleged incident being investigated reportedly occurred during the 2023 holiday break when the family was visiting Le Lievre’s home. The allegations were reported to authorities in February 2026, which led to the arrest.
Police reports also state investigators reviewed communications between the teacher and student, including phone contact and online messaging. Authorities allege efforts were made to keep some of these communications private. These claims are part of the ongoing investigation.
School district records show Le Lievre previously faced an internal review in 2024 related to professional conduct and student boundaries. Officials confirmed he resigned from his position before termination proceedings were completed and is not eligible for rehire within the district.
In a statement, district officials said maintaining a safe learning environment remains a top priority and that any allegations involving student safety are taken seriously and reviewed according to established procedures.
Le Lievre is currently being held without bond, according to jail records. No trial date has been announced. As in all criminal cases, the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Cases involving alleged misconduct between educators and students often lead to broader discussions about school policies, reporting systems, and safeguards designed to protect minors.
Authorities encourage anyone with information related to the case to contact law enforcement.
