TikToker pleads guilty to bomb threats and could face years in prison

A viral internet personality is now facing serious legal consequences after admitting to making disturbing online threats that triggered real-world emergency responses.
Daniel Larson has officially pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge tied to multiple bomb threats posted across social media, according to newly filed court documents.
Prosecutors say the threats were made between mid-2023 and early 2024, with messages referencing plans to bomb buildings and harm a federal law enforcement officer. Some posts even mentioned high-profile locations, including the White House, prompting authorities to take the threats seriously.
In one incident, officials responded to a reported bomb threat at a facility in Colorado, forcing a full evacuation and security sweep. No explosives were found, but the disruption was significant.
Larson entered a guilty plea on April 9, 2026, admitting to one count of transmitting threats in interstate commerce. In return, prosecutors agreed to drop several additional charges, significantly narrowing the case.
The plea deal outlines what comes next.
While the charge carries a maximum sentence of up to five years in prison, prosecutors have agreed not to oppose a request for time served. Larson has already been in custody since April 30, 2024, meaning the final sentence could be much shorter depending on the judge’s decision.
Still, the consequences are serious.
As part of the agreement, Larson has waived most of his rights to appeal, acknowledged the facts presented by prosecutors, and agreed to forfeit property connected to the case, including his mobile phone.
Court filings also confirm that Larson understood the charges and entered the plea voluntarily, giving up his right to a jury trial.
The case highlights a growing issue in the digital age. Online threats, even if not carried out, can trigger mass panic, evacuations, and federal investigations.
And in this case, what started as posts on social media may now cost a viral creator years of his life.
