Ventura County Sheriff's Office Apprehends Alleged Residential Burglary Ring

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office recently announced the successful apprehension of four individuals suspected of orchestrating a series of residential burglaries. These crimes reportedly spanned across both Ventura and Los Angeles counties over several months.

Authorities identified the suspects as Edisson Boyaca, Owen Rivera-Chacon, Christian Sanchez, and Juan Sebastian Naranjo. All four men face serious charges including burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Investigators began tracking the group after two specific residential break-ins occurred in Thousand Oaks during February and April. Detectives utilized surveillance and vehicle identification to monitor the suspects' movements across county lines.

On May 1, law enforcement officials tracked the suspects to a neighborhood in Santa Clarita. The group allegedly targeted a home located in the 24000 block of Matthew Place while deputies maintained surveillance.

As the suspects attempted to flee the scene, a coordinated effort between the Ventura County and Los Angeles County Sheriff's departments resulted in a traffic stop. The suspects were intercepted before they could successfully escape the area.

Two of the individuals attempted to evade capture by fleeing on foot, but they were quickly apprehended by responding officers. All three suspects present at the scene were taken into custody and subsequently booked into the local jail.

The investigation continued in the following days as detectives sought the final member of the alleged crew. Authorities eventually located Juan Sebastian Naranjo at a residence in the 1800 block of Third Street in Los Angeles.

Naranjo was taken into custody without further incident and linked to the previous burglaries in Thousand Oaks. The successful operation highlights the importance of inter-agency cooperation in addressing organized property crime.

Officials noted that the investigation remains ongoing as they process evidence collected from the vehicles and the crime scenes. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to their local law enforcement agencies immediately.

The arrests serve as a significant development in the ongoing effort to curb residential burglaries in the region. Prosecutors are currently reviewing the case to determine the next steps in the judicial process for the four defendants.
