CAMARILLO, Calif. — A married couple, ages 79 and 91, was found dead inside a home on Tahquitz Court after a family member asked deputies to check on them, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office announced in a media release dated October 29, 2026.

A Welfare Check on Tahquitz Court
On Monday, October 19, 2026, at approximately 9:05 p.m., the Sheriff's Communications Center received a call from a person who asked deputies to respond to a residence on Tahquitz Court to check on the welfare of family members.
Deputies from the Camarillo Police Department responded and found two people deceased at the location.
The Sheriff's Office identified them as Charles Jaseph, 79, of Camarillo, and Shirley Jaseph, 91, of Camarillo.
The two were identified as a married couple associated with the residence.
An Isolated Incident, Detectives Say
Detectives believe the deaths are an isolated incident and do not believe there is an outstanding threat to the public, according to the release.

The release does not state how the couple died.
Responding and investigating units include Camarillo Patrol Services, the Camarillo Investigations Unit, the Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau, the Sheriff's Crime Scene Investigations Unit and the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
The cause and manner of the deaths will be determined by the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
