According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters arrived to find that a vehicle had crashed through a glass window and entered the library building. The collision also may have damaged a nearby water line.
"A motorist apparently lost control of a vehicle and crashed through the side of a public library in Los Angeles Tuesday morning," KTLA reported.
Video from Citizen.com showed the vehicle almost completely inside the library, with only the rear portion of the car—including its taillights and license plate—remaining visible from outside the building.
Emergency crews quickly secured the scene while checking the driver and ensuring everyone inside the library was safe.
