CAMARILLO, Calif. — A 31-year-old convicted felon with an active arrest warrant and a documented history of fleeing from law enforcement is back in custody after leading Camarillo deputies on a foot chase through a residential neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.
The suspect, identified as Gabriel Beserra, was apprehended following a coordinated response by patrol deputies and specialized investigative units with the Camarillo Police Department and Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
The incident unfolded on Saturday, July 25, 2026, when patrol deputies stationed at the Camarillo Police Station received an urgent dispatch call to the 400 block of Daily Drive regarding a domestic battery that had just taken place.
