VENTURA, Calif. — A former high school teacher and wrestling coach facing more than a dozen felony charges involving the alleged sexual abuse of minors has been stripped of his bail and remanded to county jail after violating his pretrial release conditions, prosecutors announced.
The court action was announced by Ventura County District Attorney Erik Nasarenko following a formal bail violation hearing held in Ventura County Superior Court.

Authorities identified the defendant as 73-year-old Ronald Wilson (born October 23, 1952), currently residing in Timnath, Colorado.
Wilson is facing prosecution under case number 2025011755, which includes 13 felony counts involving four alleged victims. The severe charges stem from offenses allegedly committed during his tenure as an educator and wrestling coach at Oxnard High School in the 1990s and extending as recently as 2016 at Adolfo Camarillo High School.
Social Media Misconduct and Church Property School Distance Violations
According to official court filings and investigative summaries released by the District Attorney's Office, Ventura County Sheriff’s Office detectives received critical information in early August 2026 concerning Wilson’s online behavior.
Detectives initiated a targeted investigation into Wilson's digital footprint and determined he had engaged in prohibited social media conduct that directly violated explicit conditions established for his pretrial release.
Simultaneously, law enforcement surveillance and witness reports placed Wilson at a local church located inside the city of Ventura.
Investigators noted that the church shares its physical property with an active school facility. On the day Wilson attended services, the adjacent school was actively hosting a back-to-school event attended by numerous children and families.
Wilson’s physical presence on the shared school grounds constituted a direct violation of a separate court order requiring him to maintain strict distance from schools and places where children regularly congregate.
Court Hearing, No-Bail Remand Order, and Detailed Felony Charges
During a formal court hearing on September 1, 2026, Ventura County prosecutors presented evidence documenting Wilson’s unauthorized social media activities and his attendance at the church and school property.
Deputy District Attorneys argued that Wilson’s intentional online actions constituted a grave breach of existing judicial orders, while his physical presence near school children posed a unacceptable risk to public safety.
Presiding Ventura County Superior Court judges agreed with the prosecution’s findings, ruling that both incidents represented significant, willful violations of his release conditions. The judge revoked Wilson’s bail and ordered him immediately remanded into custody at the Ventura County Main Jail, where he will remain held without bail pending trial.
"In early August 2026, information was brought to the attention of Ventura County Sheriff’s Office detectives concerning Wilson and his actions on social media. Detectives investigated the matter and determined that Wilson had engaged in conduct that violated the conditions of his pretrial release," the District Attorney's Office detailed in its official release.
"Wilson’s presence violated a separate condition of his release requiring him to stay away from schools... The court agreed and found the two violations significant, ordering Wilson remanded into custody without bail pending trial," prosecutors added.
According to official court filings, Wilson faces an extensive indictment detailing 13 felony counts under the California Penal Code:
- PC 288a(b)(1): Oral copulation of a person under 18 years of age
- PC 286(b)(1): Sodomy of a person under 18 years of age
