A 25-year-old science teacher at Alexander High School in Douglasville, Georgia, faces 13 felony charges after authorities say she had sexual contact with six students.

WHAT HAPPENED

Maris Nichols was first arrested on May 8, 2026, after a student reported having sex with her twice once inside a classroom closet on April 23 and once on May 2 inside a parked Hummer. Two weeks later, on May 22, she was re-arrested and hit with 11 additional charges involving five more students. The new warrants detail multiple alleged encounters, including sex at a golf course, sending explicit images and videos to students and court documents obtained by investigators show Nichols had an OnlyFans account. Some students allegedly discovered the account and blackmailed her by threatening to expose it unless she gave them better grades. One of the alleged videos shows Nichols having sex with a student while wearing a light-yellow “Jesus Loves You” sweater.Investigators have served more than a dozen search warrants in the case. These include warrants for Nichols’ devices, Snapchat, OnlyFans, AT&T records, and several students and their families.
