Man Arrested After Crashing Car Onto Daytona Beach Airport Runway in Aircraft Theft Attempt

A significant security breach occurred at Daytona Beach International Airport on Thursday after a man crashed his vehicle through a perimeter fence and attempted to commandeer several aircraft. The suspect, identified by local authorities as 58-year-old Bryan Parker, is currently in custody facing both local and federal charges.

The incident began when a blue Ford Mustang smashed through a secure gate and accelerated onto the active runway and taxiway area. Surveillance footage filmed from an elevated position captured the vehicle coming to a halt before the driver exited and began running across the tarmac.

Parker was observed approaching multiple small propeller planes parked on the airfield. Investigative reports state that he first attempted to break into an unoccupied aircraft that was already running with its propellers spinning.
