Oxnard Police Seek Additional Victims After Arrest in Child Assault Case

The Oxnard Police Department is urging the public to come forward with information after the arrest of a 27 year old Oxnard man accused of committing forcible lewd acts on a child. The case, handled by the department’s Family Protection Unit, has expanded rapidly as investigators uncover evidence that suggests there may be multiple victims across several years.
Detectives arrested Juan Carlos Ruiz on December 1, 2025. According to investigators, Ruiz is believed to have used social media to contact juvenile victims. Police say he communicated with minors online, arranged to meet them, picked them up in person, and then carried out the assaults. Authorities identified his online presence under the username “juvnstaygetinit” and the display name “Juan Gee.”
Sgt. Jose Diaz with the Family Protection Unit said detectives have already interviewed several possible victims. Based on early findings, police believe some incidents involving Ruiz may date back as far as five years. The department stresses that the investigation is ongoing, and that additional victims or witnesses may not yet have come forward either out of fear or because they have not realized they are part of a larger pattern of criminal behavior.
Ruiz is currently being held in custody on one million dollars bail. His next scheduled court appearance is set for December 12, 2025. Detectives expect the case to grow as more digital evidence is collected and as community members respond to the call for information.
The Oxnard Police Department is asking anyone who may have had contact with Ruiz, or who may have knowledge of possible victims, to reach out to the investigators directly. Cpl. Jacob Jundef can be contacted at 805 385 7653. The general department line is also available at 805 385 7600 for anyone who wishes to provide information or request guidance.
Authorities emphasize that tips can play a critical role in identifying victims, protecting additional minors, and building a full picture of Ruiz’s activities over the last several years. The department encourages families to monitor their children’s online interactions and to speak openly with them about any contact with adults they have met through social media.
