The Pasadena Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a person captured on surveillance video in connection with several vehicle burglaries.
According to police, the burglaries occurred at 1100 Burke during the overnight hours of Aug. 15, 2026.
Investigators released a description of the person they are seeking as they work to determine who was responsible for the reported break-ins.
Police said the suspect was captured on video, giving detectives an image they hope will help members of the public recognize the individual.
The department has not publicly released details about what was allegedly taken from the vehicles or how many vehicles were targeted.
WHAT THE EVIDENCE SHOWS
The suspect is described by police as a thin Black male with black hair who was wearing a white muscle shirt.
The surveillance footage is now part of the investigation, and detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the individual to come forward.
The case is being investigated under Case No. 26-011460.
Police have not announced an arrest or identified a specific vehicle associated with the suspect.
THE BIGGER QUESTION
Vehicle burglaries can leave residents and visitors dealing with stolen property, damaged windows, locks or other parts of their vehicles, even when the amount of property taken is unclear.
The release of surveillance footage and a suspect description gives investigators an opportunity to seek information from people who may have recognized the person or seen suspicious activity in the area around the time of the burglaries.
At the same time, the publicly released information remains limited. Police have not disclosed the exact number of vehicles affected, what property may have been stolen or whether the incidents were connected to other reported burglaries.
A cautious view is that appearing in surveillance footage near a crime scene does not by itself establish that a person committed a burglary. Investigators will need to compare the video with other evidence and determine whether the person shown can be reliably connected to the reported crimes before any conclusions are reached.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Pasadena detectives are continuing to investigate the burglaries and are asking anyone with information to contact the department.
Anyone who recognizes the person shown in the surveillance footage or has information that could assist investigators is urged to contact Detective Hurst at 713-475-7213.
Police have not announced any arrest in connection with the case.
Additional information may be released as the investigation continues.

- Was the suspect working alone?
- Was a vehicle used to leave the area?
