Going to the store during the day should be safe. But for one older Texan, a quick stop for cash turned into a violent trap.
What Happened
On June 19, a 79-year-old man withdrew cash from an ATM. He was walking back to his car at a Walgreens in Pearland, Texas.
That is when a teenager ran up to him. Police say the teen assaulted the elderly man and stole his wallet and cash.
Officers say the teen did not act alone. Two adults helped him. Donte Bell, 30, was the driver, and Demondtra Moore, 23, was the lookout. Police have arrested both men, but the teen is still missing.
