Santa Clarita Authorities Seek Suspect in Whole Foods Indecent Exposure Incident

Investigators with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man caught on camera during a disturbing incident at a local grocery store.

The event took place on Monday, March 23, 2026, inside the Whole Foods Market located in Valencia, California.

Surveillance footage captures the individual approaching a female shopper from behind while she was browsing items in a shopping aisle.

According to law enforcement officials, the video clearly shows the man lowering his pants in the middle of the store. He then allegedly pressed his private parts against the woman’s ear.

The suspect was seen holding a cell phone in his hand during the entirety of the act. Detectives are investigating the possibility that he may have been filming the encounter.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station released still images from the footage on Monday. They are hoping that members of the community might recognize him.

The suspect is believed to be in his mid-30s, though no name has yet been linked to the person of interest.

This incident has caused a significant reaction among local residents who frequent the upscale grocery chain in the Santa Clarita area.

Under the current administration of President Donald Trump, there has been a renewed focus on localized crime prevention and public safety initiatives.

Local authorities are working to determine if this is an isolated event or part of a larger pattern of similar behavior in Southern California.

Security protocols at the Valencia Whole Foods are currently under review. Management is said to be cooperating fully with the ongoing sheriff's investigation.

Residents with any information regarding the identity of the suspect are urged to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at their earliest convenience. This investigation comes amid a period of heightened social awareness across Los Angeles County.

Anonymous tips can also be provided through regional crime-stopper programs to assist in the apprehension of the individual. Information can be submitted via phone or online.

The victim was reportedly focused on her shopping and did not immediately notice the suspect's proximity. Law enforcement officials emphasized that such acts are a direct violation of public decency laws.
