The White House perimeter faced a major security test today after a man successfully jumped a security barrier on the northeast side of the complex.

The incident happened near the Treasury Building, sparking an immediate and aggressive response from the U.S. Secret Service.

This was not a peaceful surrender. When agents moved in to intercept the intruder, a physical altercation broke out.

The suspect reportedly fought back as officers worked to bring him into custody on the pavement. During the struggle, one officer sustained a visible cut, though officials confirmed the injury is non life threatening.

Footage from the scene shows a heavy security presence, with tactical vehicles and additional barriers quickly sealing off the area.

Both the suspect and the injured officer were taken in for medical evaluations following the scuffle.

While perimeter breaches at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue happen occasionally, the physical nature of this arrest has put security teams on high alert.

The Secret Service has not yet released the name of the suspect or a specific motive for the jump.

As of now, there is no broader threat to the public, and the White House complex remains secure.
