OXNARD, Calif. — Seven Oxnard residents were taken into custody following a coordinated morning raid at a residential property in the 1100 block of South L Street as part of an ongoing narcotics sales investigation, public safety officials announced.
The enforcement operation occurred on Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m.
According to an official news release published by the Oxnard Police Department, the specialized inquiry originated in late June 2026 when officers assigned to the department’s Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) initiated surveillance and intelligence gathering regarding persistent drug activity at the South L Street home.
Multi-Unit Raid Leads to Seven Arrests and Property Code Violations
On Wednesday, August 12, officers with the Special Enforcement Unit executed a court-authorized narcotics search warrant at the South L Street location. Due to the scale of the operation and potential safety hazards on site, SEU officers were assisted by tactical and specialized support teams, including the Oxnard Police Neighborhood Policing Team, the department's K9 Unit, the Drone Unit, and standard patrol services.
Upon making entry and securing the residential structure, officers contacted multiple individuals inside the home. A total of seven suspects, all residents of Oxnard, were arrested on site for various outstanding arrest warrants, narcotics offenses, or related criminal charges:

- Alexis Aguilera, age 25
- Raymond Castillo, age 36
- Azalea Pedro, age 30
- Erica Pedro, age 41
- Aaron Gomez, age 40
- Frances Reyes, age 51
In addition to law enforcement officers, inspectors from Oxnard City Code Compliance responded directly to the residence to evaluate living conditions and physical safety standards. City officials identified multiple severe building code and municipal safety violations across the premises. Consequently, Code Compliance personnel formally yellow-tagged the home, establishing an upcoming mandatory inspection window prior to red-tagging the building to prohibit human occupancy.
Officers also called out representatives from Oxnard Animal Control to evaluate animals residing on the property. Animal Control officers subsequently seized a sick animal from the residence to provide immediate veterinary care and housing.

"In late June, Officers from the Oxnard Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit began an investigation into a residence in the 1100 block of South L Street, in reference to narcotics sales. On 8/12/2026, Officers from the Special Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Neighborhood Policing Team, K9 Unit, Drone Unit, and Patrol services, served a search warrant at the residence," police officials added in their official case summary.
