THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Three local men are in custody facing felony assault charges after allegedly cornering, knocking down, and brutally beating a neighbor near a residential swimming pool in Thousand Oaks, public safety officials announced Wednesday.

The major crimes investigation is being led by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office East County Major Crimes Unit alongside Thousand Oaks Patrol Services under official report number 26-112393.
Authorities identified the three arrested suspects as 29-year-old Julio Trevino, 30-year-old Adan Domingo, and 24-year-old Ivan Domingo, all residents of Thousand Oaks.
Late-Night Noise Complaint and Retaliatory Assault
According to an official media release published by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the violent incident occurred during the early morning hours of Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Oakview Apartment Homes complex, situated in the 600 block of Hampshire Road in Thousand Oaks.
At approximately 2:15 a.m., an private security guard assigned to the residential property responded to the central pool and barbecue amenities area following complaints regarding an escalating noise disturbance. The security guard contacted several individuals gathered in the common facility, instructing them to quiet down and disperse from the area.
Shortly after the security guard departed the immediate courtyard, yelling broke out near the outdoor barbecue facilities.
When the security officer returned to investigate the noise, he witnessed a group of men aggressively confronting a 25-year-old male adult resident.
During the confrontation, several individuals aggressively questioned the victim, accusing him of contacting law enforcement or security personnel to report the earlier noise disturbance.
The verbal dispute quickly escalated into severe physical violence. The suspects knocked the victim to the concrete deck and repeatedly punched, kicked, and stomped him while he was defenseless on the ground.
The victim sustained significant, painful traumatic injuries to his head, face, and upper torso as a result of the group assault before emergency medical personnel arrived to evaluate his condition.
Major Crimes Unit Response, Arrests, and Evidence Request
Detectives with the East County Major Crimes Unit responded to the Hampshire Road residential complex to conduct a comprehensive crime scene canvass, interview witnesses, and examine physical evidence.
Following preliminary field inquiries and witness statements, detectives identified Trevino, Adan Domingo, and Ivan Domingo as primary perpetrators involved in the group beating.
Deputies located all three suspects in Thousand Oaks and placed them under arrest. They were subsequently transported to the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura and formally booked on felony charges:

Sheriff's officials confirmed that booking photos for Trevino, Adan Domingo, and Ivan Domingo have not been cleared for public release at this time.
"The victim was reportedly knocked to the ground and was punched, kicked, and stomped by multiple individuals. The victim sustained injuries to his head, face, and body... During the investigation, detectives determined the assault was preceded by an interaction in which several individuals questioned the victim about contacting law enforcement in connection with the earlier disturbance," the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office detailed in a public advisory prepared by Detective Jon Nungester.
"Detectives believe there may have been additional individuals present during the incident and are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information that could assist investigators," public safety officials added.

Major Crimes investigators strongly believe additional bystanders were present in or near the pool and barbecue facilities during the early morning hours of August 28 and may hold crucial evidence or identification details.
Sheriff's detectives are specifically appealing to anyone who witnessed the verbal argument, observed the physical assault, saw individuals fleeing the Hampshire Road property, or captured photos or video recordings on mobile phones or balcony surveillance systems.
