Tiger Woods Involved in Rollover Crash on Jupiter Island, Florida

Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover vehicle crash on Jupiter Island, Florida, on Friday afternoon, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. local time near the golfer’s residence.

Initial reports from Martin County Fire Rescue indicated that there were no serious injuries resulting from the incident.

A photo taken by local media showed a dark SUV resting on its driver's side near the road.

Sheriff John Budensiek is scheduled to address the media during a press conference at 5 p.m. ET to provide further details.

Investigators remain on the scene to determine the cause of the crash.

The 15-time major champion, now 50 years old, has been managing a limited competitive schedule due to a series of physical setbacks.

He recently participated in the TGL finals on Tuesday night.

Woods had spent much of the past year recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon and a seventh back surgery.

His status for the upcoming Masters tournament at Augusta National remained unconfirmed prior to Friday's event.

This latest incident marks the third significant traffic-related event for the golfer.

In February 2021, Woods suffered devastating leg injuries in a high-speed rollover crash in Los Angeles.

Following the 2021 accident, Woods underwent extensive rehabilitation to save his right leg.

He later returned to professional golf, though his appearances have been sporadic as he prioritized his health.

The golf community and local residents gathered near the perimeter of the investigation site as news of the crash spread.

Traffic on Beach Road was redirected while crews worked to clear the wreckage.

Representatives for Woods have not yet released a formal statement regarding his current condition or the circumstances of the accident.

Official updates are expected following the police briefing.

The Masters is set to begin on April 9, leaving questions about the golfer's immediate future in the sport.

Woods last competed in an official PGA Tour event in July 2024.
