PISMO BEACH, Calif. — Emergency responders with the CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle that struck a building along Shell Beach Road on Friday, law enforcement and fire officials reported.
The incident occurred near the 2600 block of Shell Beach Road in Pismo Beach, prompting a rapid response from local fire crews and emergency medical services.
Upon arrival, firefighters established the "Shell IC" command to manage the scene and evaluate the building and vehicle occupants.
Minor Injuries Reported; Structure Remains Intact
First responders evaluated two individuals at the scene who sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash. Emergency medical personnel provided on-scene care for the patients.
Fire crews conducted a structural safety assessment of the building involved in the impact. Responders confirmed that despite the vehicle collision, the building's main integrity remained intact without major structural collapse.
CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department officials later issued a final update via official social media channels, confirming that the incident scene had been stabilized and cleared by responding units.
