The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public's help in locating Brent Hartley, a 72-year-old Thousand Oaks resident who has been missing since Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Hartley was last seen at approximately 5:00 PM at his residence on the 2100 block of Meadow Brook Court. His disappearance is considered high-risk as he suffers from dementia, depression, and a heart condition. He left his home without his cell phone or vehicle.

Physical Description:

Race: Caucasian

  • Height: 6'5"
  • Weight: 230 lbs
  • Hair: Grey
  • Last Seen Wearing: A blue t-shirt and khaki shorts.

Authorities are urging anyone in the Thousand Oaks or surrounding areas to keep a lookout for a man matching this description. If you see him or have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the Sheriff’s Dispatch immediately.
