Detectives seized twenty pounds of fentanyl, heroin, and other drugs after raiding ten homes across Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

We expect our streets to be safe places for our kids to play. But sometimes, the house next door hides a danger that can ruin lives in an instant.

What Happened

Police officers just finished months of work tracking a large drug group. They arrested 11 people and searched 10 homes in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

The officers found guns, cash, and a mix of dangerous drugs. They are still looking for one more person who got away.

The local District Attorney has already filed charges against all 12 people.

What the evidence shows

  • 11 people arrested and 1 still on the run.
  • 10 local homes searched by officers.
  • 20 pounds of drugs found, including fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.
  • Multiple guns and cash seized during the raids.
  • 12 total people facing charges in court.

The Bigger Question

How does a major drug group setup shop in quiet neighborhoods without anyone noticing? We often look for big, obvious signs of crime, but the most dangerous groups try to look as normal as possible. This bust shows we must ask how these networks blend into our daily lives.

The lawyers for the accused people have not yet made public statements. In cases like this, defense teams often argue that some suspects had minor roles or did not know about the drugs. Based on the large amount of evidence found in the homes, proving total innocence will be a very hard task.

These raids mean fewer dangerous drugs like fentanyl are on local streets today. However, when one supply chain breaks, other groups often try to take its place. Local police will keep watching these streets to make sure new sellers do not move in.
